Thaker Balwan singh Ex’ MLA address the JAI Hind rally at Dansal
Dansal (Jandhra), June 2:’- Former MLA and Senior Congress leader Th Balwan Singh addressed a largely attended ” Jai Hind Rally” here today and lauded the role of our armed forces for giving befitting response to Pakistan but questioned the serious security lapse at Bi- Saran,Pehalgam for which the centre government is answerable to the nation.
The Congress Block Committee led by Th Romal Singh organized a massive “Jai Hind” rally at Panchayat Dhan near Jindhra, which was presided over by senior Congress leader and former MLA Thakur Balwan Singh. A large number of people from the surrounding areas participated in the rally.
The rally was organised in the honour of armed forces to salute their bravery and discipline .
He said that IAF Chief and CDS has also made serious disclosures besides other important aspects in this regard, need to be discussed and debated in the special parliamentary session, as demanded by Cong Chief Malikarjun Kharge and LOP Rahul Gandhi.
During the event, locals raised several important civic and developmental issues affecting the region.
Key concerns included the acute shortage of drinking water, inadequate teaching5 staff in government schools, and serious faculty shortages in higher secondary institutions—particularly in essential subjects like Mathematics, Science, Urdu, Sanskrit, and5 Computer Science. People also expressed frustration over the lack of proper link roads, making many areas inaccessible, and the increasing menace of monkeys, which has caused extensive damage to agricultural crops. Parents shared5 that children are even afraid to attend school due to the monkey threat. Unemployment among educated youth was another major issue raised during the event.
While addressing the rally, Thakur Balwan Singh thanked Rahul Gandhi for his recent and timely visit to the war-affected border areas of Poonch. He criticized the BJP-led5 central government for failing to provide security to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He questioned why the perpetrators of the Pulwama attack have not been brought to justice and why no accountability has been fixed in the Pahalgam terror incident. He demanded immediate compensation for property damaged in border shelling and called for proper rehabilitation of displaced families in safer areas. He also urged the government5 to launch special recruitment drives for unemployed youth with priority given to local candidates.
Singh condemned the central government’s silence on allowing foreign interference,57 especially the U.S. role under Donald Trump, in brokering a ceasefire between India and Pakistan.
Prominent Congress leaders who spoke at the rally included Ch. Rashid Azam Inqlabi ,Romal Singh, Block president Madhana Mohan Dubey, Mirza Fareed Beg, Vijay Kumar Bhagat, Janak Singh,5 Mohan Lal Raina, Dr. Abdul Ghani, Noor Alam, and Som Nath.and others.Later Thakur Balwan Singh also address the meeting at nagrota.
