Symposium on “Nasha Mukt Bharat” organized at GHS Gurha Brahmana

JAMMU, MAY 28: To spread awareness among the youth about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote the message of a “Nasha Mukt Bharat” (Drug-Free India), a symposium competition was organized today by the Cultural Unit, Department of Information & Public Relations Jammu at Government High School Gurha Brahmana.
As many as seven students participated in the event, delivering powerful speeches that highlighted the dangers of drug addiction and the importance of leading a healthy, productive life. The competition served as a vibrant platform to engage the students in a meaningful dialogue on substance abuse and the role of youth in building a drug-free society.
The Headmaster of the school Shahida Mir lauded the efforts of the Information Department for organizing such a thought-provoking and socially relevant program and appreciated the active participation of the students. She emphasized that such initiatives play a crucial role in shaping responsible citizens.
The first prize was bagged by Mandeep Kour, second prize by Simrandeep and third prize by Sakshi Pandey, while consolation prize was given to Sonia Singh. The performances were judged by a panel comprising Payal Bajaj, Sunita Jamwal and Nirmal Sharma.
The event was attended by staff members of school, officials from the Information Department, and a large number of enthusiastic students, who appreciated the initiative and pledged to contribute to the mission of a Nasha Mukt Bharat. The programme was conducted under the directions of Joint Director Information Jammu, Deepak Dubey and under the supervision of Cultural Officer Jammu, Mukesh Kumar Sharma.
