SWD conducts Seminar/Awareness Camp on Substance Abuse at GHSS Narapora Shopian

SHOPIAN, SEPTEMBER 25: The Social Welfare department, Shopian today conducted a one day Seminar cum Awareness camp on Substance Abuse at Govt Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Narapora, Shopian.

During the camp, students were made aware about the ill effects of substance abuse and various measures to combat the same.

Various Helpline Numbers were also shared with the students to get assistance of any kind regarding the menace.

On this occasion, a Debate competition was also held in which students highlighted the different aspects of the problem and the measures to combat the menace.

The programme was attended by Block Medical Officer (BMO), Shopian, Dr. Mohammad Yousuf, Tehsil Social Welfare Officer (TSWO), Farhana Tak, CA, OSC Sumaira Gulzar, Staff members of the School and a large gathering of students.
