“Swachhta Hi Seva” campaign gathers momentum in Doda

DODA, September 27: The Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information, Field Office Doda, on Wednesday organized a grand event at Government Middle School (GMS) Ghat Block as part of the nationwide special awareness campaign, “Swachhta Hi Seva.”

The event, attended by government functionaries, students and enthusiastic local people, was a resounding success in promoting cleanliness, hygiene and promote community engagement.

The theme of the campaign, “Swachhta Hi Seva,” underscored the importance of cleanliness and sanitation in building a healthy and prosperous nation.

Incharge CBC Doda Circle, Vikram Uppal briefly highlighted the department’s vital role in facilitating communication between the government and the public.

The Central Bureau of Communication is committed to bridge the gap between government initiatives and the citizens they serve, ensuring that important programs and campaigns, such as “Swachhta Hi Seva,” reach every corner of society.

In his address, the Incharge emphasized the significance of the “Swachhta Hi Seva” campaign, which aims to instill a sense of responsibility towards cleanliness and hygiene in the community. He expressed his gratitude to all the dignitaries, guests, and participants for their presence and support, stating that such initiatives are only successful when the community comes together.

The event was graced by the presence of Chief Guest,   Princey Thusoo, who delivered an inspiring lecture emphasizing the need for collective efforts in maintaining cleanliness in our surroundings.

Najma Ahmed Wani and Fariha Firdous, esteemed guests at the event acted as resource persons and shared their insights and encouraged the participants to actively engage in cleanliness initiatives.Resource persons delivered expert lectures on various aspects of cleanliness and hygiene, educating the audience on best practices and the importance of a clean environment.

Participants enthusiastically joined the cleanliness drive, actively cleaning the school premises and its surroundings and Panchayat Ghar Gath. This hands-on approach demonstrated the commitment of the community towards a cleaner and greener future.

Attendees took the Swachhta pledge, reaffirming their dedication to maintaining cleanliness and spreading awareness about its significance. To facilitate waste segregation and disposal, dustbins were distributed among the attendees, ensuring that waste management practices improve in the area.

Students and teachers worked hand in hand, exemplifying the importance of teamwork and community involvement. This collaboration promoted a sense of responsibility towards cleanliness among the youth.In a remarkable display of community spirit, participants engaged in shramdaan, voluntarily contributing their time and effort to the betterment of their surroundings.
