Special camp for West Pakistani Refugees organised at Vijaypur

SAMBA, May 01: A special LG’s governance camp was today organized at Vijaypur, with the aim to address the issues and grievances faced by the West Pakistani Refugees residing in the region. The program was chaired by Rajinder Singh, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), and witnessed the participation of several government officials and representatives of various departments.

The program was designed to provide a platform to the West Pakistani Refugees to put forward their grievances and have their pending cases verified. It also focused on creating awareness about various welfare and self-employment schemes available for them and to provide placement opportunities for eligible candidates from the displaced families.

During the program, various government departments showcased their schemes and initiatives that could benefit the West Pakistani Refugee families. The program was aimed at providing a comprehensive solution to the problems faced by the refugee families and ensuring that they are aware of the government schemes and initiatives available to them.

The ADDC said that the program created awareness among the participants about the government schemes and initiatives available to them and providing placement opportunities to eligible candidates.  

The program received an  overwhelming response from the West Pakistani Refugee families, who expressed gratitude for their grievances heard and their pending cases verified.
