SMVDU organises workshop on DGPS & Interaction with GIS cum Megadrones Pvt Ltd

REASI, March 4: School of Civil Engineering, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University organized a workshop on DGPS and Integration with GIS in collaboration with the Megadrones Pvt. Ltd. which is committed to innovation, it aims to push the boundaries of technology and scientific exploration.  During the time of inauguration Head civil engineering Mr. V.K. Dogra, faculty members, student body and guest of honor Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. Balbir Singh were present.

The inauguration ceremony featured insightful speeches, interactive sessions, and exciting demonstrations highlighting the advancements and achievements in civil engineering. DGPS and GIS are essential tools for civil engineering students, offering precise positioning data for surveys and construction layouts through DGPS, and enabling accurate mapping and spatial analysis with GIS

These technologies also support urban planning, environmental analysis, and disaster management efforts, providing students with versatile skills applicable across engineering domains. In essence, DGPS and GIS equip civil engineering students with the practical skills needed to address real-world challenges and pursue diverse career opportunities in the field. The Head of School of Civil Engineering encouraged students to take part in this workshop wholeheartedly and to embrace this opportunity to grow, learn, and connect in the dynamic world of Civil Engineering. The workshop was coordinated by Mr. Gautam Narula in collaboration with Mr. Srijan and Dr. Vaibhav Sapkal.
