Seva, Sushasan, Garib Kalyan — Modi Government’s 11 Years Symbolise a New India: Tarun Chugh
Jammu, 19 June 2025: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh today addressed a Chaupal in Pargwal sector of Jammu North Assembly at Purkhoo, attended by citizens from four border villages, as part of the nation-wide “Sankalp Se Siddhi” outreach commemorating 11 years of Modi Government.

Chugh said, “From Sankalp to Siddhi, the Modi Government has transformed India’s destiny. Every day in these 11 years has been dedicated to the ideals of public service, good governance, and inclusive growth. From a poor man’s hut to global forums — India’s roar is now heard across the world.”
He highlighted how India, once the 11th largest economy in 2014, has become the 4th largest today with a GDP of $4.187 trillion. Over 25 crore people have been uplifted from poverty, ₹44 lakh crore transferred directly to beneficiaries via DBT, and over 33 lakh crore in loans disbursed under the PM Mudra Yojana — 68% to women.
He noted the massive impact of the Jal Jeevan Mission (15 crore tap connections), PM Awas Yojana (4.88 crore houses), Swachh Bharat Mission (12 crore toilets), and Ayushman Bharat (free treatment to over 9.3 crore beneficiaries). He emphasized how schemes like e-Sanjeevani (35 crore teleconsultations) and Jan Aushadhi Kendras (16,251 functional stores) are transforming healthcare access.
On national security, Chugh lauded the government’s firm responses — from Balakot to Operation Sindoor — and noted that defence exports have increased 34 times. He cited the abrogation of Article 370 as a historic milestone of national integration and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to Jammu & Kashmir’s development.
Chugh said the government has balanced progress with pride in heritage. Ram Mandir, Char Dham connectivity, Yoga Day celebrations, and cultural missions under PRASAD scheme have restored global respect for India’s civilisational values.
He praised infrastructure milestones like the Chenab Bridge, Vande Bharat trains, the UDAN scheme, and the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway (₹40,000 crore) that will bring prosperity to regions like Harmandir Sahib, Taran Taran, and Vaishno Devi.
Concluding, he said, “PM Modi’s mantra of Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan is not a slogan — it’s a lived reality for crores of Indians today. We are not just moving forward — we are building a Viksit Bharat.”
In a symbolic and emotional moment, Tarun Chugh honored Shri Omkar Ji — who has been associated with RSS, Praja Parishad, Jan Sangh, and BJP since 1946 — by touching his feet and draping a Chunari around him. Omkar Ji, a close associate of Prem Nath Dogra Ji, played a pivotal role in resisting the oppressive policies of Abdullah and Mufti regimes during crucial movements for the integrity of Jammu and Kashmir.
MP Jugal Kishore Sharma said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the border areas of Jammu — once neglected and insecure — are now witnessing unprecedented development and dignity. Whether it’s road infrastructure, health services, or border bunkers, Modi Ji has turned decades-old demands into realities. Today, Purkhoo and the entire Pargwal sector stand as testimony to the fact that Modi Sarkar delivers what it promises.
Former Minister & MLA Sham Lal Sharma said that the region has long been at the receiving end of indifference, but the Modi government has brought a sense of belonging and empowerment to its people. From Ayushman Bharat to PM Awas Yojana, every household here is benefiting. The transformation in the last 11 years is visible on the ground — in roads, homes, and the smiles of our people.
State General Secretary Vibodh Gupta said that the Sankalp Se Siddhi campaign is not just a celebration, but a reaffirmation of our commitment to serve the last person in the queue. The Modi government has redefined what it means to govern — from top-down to bottom-up transformation. Jammu & Kashmir is no longer on the periphery of policy-making; it is now at the centre of national integration and development.
Present on the occasion were District President Nand Kishore, Vinay Gupta, and Rohit Verma.
