Urges Admn to maintain sanctity of holy patch of land near fish pond road
BHADERWAH ,March 15 : Ashok Kumar Sharma (Retd SSP), Secretary of J&K Dharmarth Trust held an extensive tour of Bhaderwah wherein he took stock of various issues concerning the properties belonging to Trust and also those being confronted by the locals.
Ashok Kumar visited the Bhaderwah town following the directions of Vikramaditya Singh, Trustee J&K Dharmarth Trust. Additional Secretary Varinder Singh Jamwal also accompanied the Secretary.
At the outset, the Secretary visited the Vasuki Naag Temple and held interaction with Pujaris and the inhabitants of Gatha village. The locals apprised him about a paddy field of Bhagwan Shree Vasuki Naagji Maharaj situated along fish pond road in Gatha, Bhaderwah. They said that the aforesaid land has much religious significance as traditionally the Hindu populace used to perform rituals annually before the start of sowing season and thereafter have Darshans of Vasuki Naag Ji Maharaj in the form of Shesh Naagji. The locals however complained about some people who have drained out sanitary waste, household waste and water pipes in the aforesaid patch of land making mockery of the religious feelings. They demanded to stop this practice henceforth and maintain the sanctity of the aforesaid land chunk.
They also demanded a protection wall along the land belonging to the Trust either by the management of Trust or the government to avoid any sort of encroachment in the future.
Secretary Ashok Kumar along with Varinder Singh and Assistant Manager Bhaderwah Arjun Singh and locals from Gatha and Udrana visited Fish Pond Gatha where it came to the notice of all that BDO has started tile work adjoining to the holy land patch where people used to perform Pooja every year before sowing and harvesting.
Amid apprehension of encroachment of this land chunk, the Secretary assured the locals that he will take up the matter with ADC Bhaderwah Dilmir Choudhary to ensure that a protection wall be erected and the issue of draining waste in the aforesaid land will also be sorted once and for all.
Later, the Secretary along with his team and President Sanatan Dharam Sabha met with the Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhaderwah and apprised him regarding the burning issue and warned him that the same could escalate and become a big law and order problem. Consequently, the ADC assured to look into the matter on priority and the things will be sorted out as per law.
The Secretary also met Dhanenter Singh, District Development Council Doda and discussed various issues with regard to development of temples. He also made a courtesy call to Advocate Naresh Gupta, who is also the Chairman of Dashnan Committee of Mela Patt. During the call, discussion about various issues regarding Mela Patt, Kailash Yatra was held in detail.
Separate meetings were also held with Varinder Rajdhan, President Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Bhaderwah and Satish President Vishav Hindu Parishad Bhaderwah seeking their cooperation with the J&K Dharmarth Trust for the upliftment of Sanatan Dharam and up-keeping of temples.
The Secretary also inspected the library situated in Hari Bhawan Complex in the premises of Shree Vasuki Naag Ji Dera Mandir. It is pertinent to mention here that the aforesaid complex was inaugurated by Dr. Karan Singh in October, 1974. The Secretary observed that the complex required repairs and whitewashing.
The Secretary also visited Ganesh Mandir at Ganpat Bazaar, Bhaderwah and performed Pooja. He also visited Shree Gupt Ganga temple situated on the bank of river Neeru. He also had a detailed conversation with the Mahant Manish Anand Giri. He also visited Mata Atharabhuja Mandir situated in Passri, Bhaderwah.
