SBI RSETI organises Vegetable Nursery Management Training at Behri Neghal- Ramban

RAMBAN, MAY 20: To promote self-employment and sustainable agriculture in rural areas, SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) Ramban inaugurated a 12-day training programme on “Vegetable Nursery Management & Cultivation” at Panchayat Behri Neghal, Block Ramban.


The programme was formally inaugurated by Director SBI RSETI S. Harvinder Singh, along with SMS Agriculture Department Jyoti Prakash, JK Bank Associate Mangeet Singh and Lambardar Sanjay Singh. The ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the start of this farmer-centric initiative.


Addressing the trainees, Director RSETI highlighted the significance of skill-based agricultural training in enhancing rural livelihoods, especially for women. He also introduced various government-sponsored self-employment and social security schemes such as PMSBY, PMJJBY, APY, and the MUDRA Loan Scheme.


Subject Matter Specialist Jyoti Prakash elaborated on modern practices in nursery management, emphasizing eco-friendly disease control methods and integrating scientific knowledge with traditional farming. JK Bank’s representative discussed financial assistance and credit schemes available to farmers, urging them to utilize banking services for agricultural growth.


The Lambardar and trainees expressed gratitude to SBI RSETI Ramban for organizing the localized training. The 12-day course will cover nursery bed preparation, seed treatment, irrigation, pest management, and post-harvest techniques—empowering participants with practical skills to enhance productivity and income.
