Sankalp Saptah awareness camp held at Majori-Basant Garh

UDHAMPUR, OCTOBER 04: In a remarkable display of community engagement and commitment to better health, the Poshan Project Dudu Udhampur organized a one day awareness camp as part of the Sankalp Saptah celebration at Basant Garh.

The event took place at Majori and brought together diverse members of the general public, including esteemed figures like sarpanches, panches, children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers hailing from neighboring panchayats such as Siameri, Uperla, Chigla Balota, Chukal and Chhatrari.

With insightful sessions on Poshan Abhiyan, Anuradha   CDPO Basantgarh offered a comprehensive account of the Poshan Abhiyan, shedding light on the various schemes being diligently implemented by the Poshan team.             

Furthermore, Anuradha shared invaluable nutritional insights aimed at reducing anemia among women. Her emphasis on the importance of a balanced diet during pregnancy and lactation left a lasting impact on the attendees.

The event was graced by the presence of Subhash Dogra, the District Programme Officer of Poshan Udhampur, who honored the occasion as the chief guest.

In his enlightening address, he provided a detailed overview of the Poshan scheme and elucidated the crucial roles and responsibilities of the Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) and their helpers in the quest for improved nutrition and well-being.

The one-day awareness camp stands as a testament to the dedication of the Poshan Project JKUT in empowering and educating the community, ultimately fostering a healthier and brighter future for UT of Jammu & Kashmir.
