Samba Police intensify fight against illegal mining: 250 vehicles seized in 11 months

The Samba Police have intensified their efforts against illegal mining in the region, seizing seven more vehicles on charges of illegal mineral extraction.

This latest haul brings the total number of vehicles seized in the past eleven months to a staggering 250, highlighting the scale of the problem and the police’s commitment to tackling it.

SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, confirmed the seizures. The police have registered cases against the drivers of the seized vehicles and are investigating the source of the illegally mined minerals.
