Sachin Kumar wins prestigious National Scholarship in Visual Art

Jammu, May 30: Sachin Kumar, a talented visual artist from Jammu & Kashmir, has made his region proud by securing the prestigious National Scholarship Award in Visual Art, granted by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, for a two-year term.

 A graduate of the Department of Applied Art at the Institute of Music and Fine Arts (IMFA), University of Jammu, Sachin stands out as the sole recipient from J&K in the visual arts category this year. His artistic journey, shaped under the mentorship of Shri Rakesh Sharma, HOD Fine Arts, and Dr. Amarjeet Singh, Assistant Professor at IMFA, is marked by unwavering dedication, refined discipline, and creative excellence.

Over the years, Sachin has actively participated in various national and international art workshops and exhibitions, earning wide acclaim and encouraging budding artists across the region. His consistent efforts and innovative expression have carved a niche for him in the contemporary Indian art scene.
