Reasi Admin launches 15-Day Awareness & Saturation campaign under Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan
REASI, JUNE 15: The District Administration Reasi under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Malik launched a 15-day Awareness and Saturation Campaign today under Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan (DAJGA) to promote inclusive development and empower tribal communities.
The district-level inaugural event took place at Sub-Division Mahore amid enthusiastic participation from tribal community members, Panchayati Raj Institution representatives and officials from across line departments.
The campaign was inaugurated by MLA Gulabgarh, Er Khurshid Ahmed as the chief guest. ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, ADC Rakesh Kumar and CPO Narinder Kumar were also present.
Meanwhile, similar awareness camps were launched across all 44 selected tribal villages in the nine blocks of the district. The camps are being conducted as per the scheduled plan under the supervision of the respective Block Development Officers.
In his address, MLA Khurshid Ahmed commended the administration for reaching out to the grassroots through this initiative. He emphasized that the campaign would allow people to register and avail themselves of various government schemes and services, aimed at the upliftment of underserved communities. He further stated that this effort would not only provide access to welfare benefits but also ensure long-term, sustainable development in tribal regions.
The Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan will focus on spreading awareness among tribal population regarding the government welfare schemes, encouraging community involvement in governance and achieving complete saturation of government services.
Key focus areas include issuance of Aadhar cards, domicile and caste certificates, healthcare services under Ayushman Bharat, PM Vishwakarma Yojana registration and initiatives for financial inclusion.
As part of the event, departments set up dedicated service stalls offering on-the-spot registration and assistance. The chief guest and senior officers inspected stalls and interacted with staff and citizens, reviewing the delivery and effectiveness of services. The atmosphere at the venue was further enriched by vibrant cultural performances presented by school children from Mahore, celebrating tribal heritage and community spirit. A selfie stand was also installed to engage attendees and foster a sense of participation and celebration.
In a symbolic gesture of inclusion, MLA Khurshid Ahmed distributed wheelchairs to differently-abled beneficiaries. The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by ADC Rakesh Kumar, who appreciated the contribution of all departments and stakeholders in ensuring the campaign’s successful rollout.
The event was attended by several notable figures including DDC members Abdul Gani Malik and Mohd. Asril, SDM Mahore Shafqat Majeed Bhat, PO ICDS Rakesh Kumar, along with officers from the ACD, CMO, CEO and other key departments.
