Ramban Administration organises Tribal Welfare Outreach Camp at Bawa, Trigam under “Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Abhiyan”

RAMBAN, JUNE 25: As part of the celebrations under the “Tribal Pride Year” (Janjatiya Gaurav Divas), the District Administration Ramban organized a comprehensive Awareness and Benefit Saturation Camp under the banner of “Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Abhiyan” at Bawa, Trigam Upper Panchayat in the remote tribal region of Block Khari.

The camp witnessed the active participation of Block Development Officer Khari, Urfan Khan, Naib Tehsildar Manzoor Ahmad, ABF (NITI Aayog) Ishfaq Bashir, along with other officials from various line departments at district and block levels.

The primary objective of the camp was to facilitate last-mile delivery of welfare schemes and ensure saturation of benefits among the tribal population.

Multiple departments joined hands to extend services and disseminate information on various government schemes. The Health and AYUSH Departments provided free health check-ups, preventive healthcare advice and information on traditional medicine. The Animal Husbandry Department delivered veterinary services and educated participants about livestock health schemes and related subsidies.

Officials from the Revenue and Tehsil Welfare Departments addressed concerns related to land records, issued caste and income certificates, and processed pension-related applications on the spot. The ICDS (Women and Child Development Department) sensitized locals on child nutrition, maternal health and key initiatives like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.

The Block Development Office (BDO) educated the public about self-employment avenues, MGNREGA and other rural development initiatives. Additionally, the Agriculture and Horticulture Departments informed farmers about modern agricultural practices, organic farming, soil health management and schemes supporting seeds, tools and orchard development.

The camp served as a robust platform to strengthen the coordination between administration and the tribal community, helping in grievance redressal, document verification and on-spot registration under various welfare schemes. A significant number of issues were addressed during the event, reflecting the administration’s commitment to responsive and inclusive governance.

This extensive outreach effort empowered tribal communities, ensuring that no area or household remains deprived of government welfare benefits, particularly in far-flung regions like Trigam in Block Khari.
