Ramban admin hosts e-Office 2.0 Training to boost Digital Governance

RAMBAN, JUNE 10: In a major push to digital governance, the District Administration Ramban today organized a comprehensive training program on the e-Office 2.0 platform for government officials here in the District Conference Hall.

The initiative, spearheaded by Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, marks a crucial step towards transitioning to paperless, efficient and transparent government operations.

The training session was chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner Roshan Lal, who serves as the District e-Office Nodal Officer.

The ADDC emphasized the administration’s commitment to digital transformation and the importance of officials becoming proficient with the new system. The program featured technical experts from JaKeGA (Jammu and Kashmir e-Governance Agency) and the Information Technology Department, led by ICT Resource Person Romit Pal Singh.

Participants were imparted hands-on training, covering all aspects of the e-Office 2.0 platform, including document workflow management, digital file processing and system navigation. SWAN Network Engineer Prithive Raj provided on-the-spot technical support during the practical sessions. The interactive format allowed officials to clarify operational queries and gain confidence in using the new system.

This master trainer program represents the first phase of district-wide digital upskilling, with participants expected to cascade their training to colleagues at Tehsil and Block levels. The administration has developed a phased rollout plan to ensure smooth adoption across all departments.

The Deputy Commissioner, while reviewing the program’s progress, highlighted how e-Office implementation aligns with the broader vision of responsive governance. “This digital transition will not only improve efficiency but also enhance transparency and accountability in our operations,” he remarked. The administration plans to conduct regular follow-up sessions and establish a dedicated helpdesk to support officials during the transition period.

The training concluded with participants expressing confidence in implementing the new system in their respective departments. The District Administration reaffirmed its commitment to complete digitization of workflows by the end of the current financial year.
