Rajouri: DDC Vice Chairman, DDC kick start work on Kanyal Gali to Nagali Kass road project 

RAJOURI, May 11: Vice Chairman District Development Council Rajouri, Shabir Khan, in presence of District Development Commissioner (DDC), Vikas Kundal, today inaugurated the construction work of the Kanyal Gali to Nagali Kass road. The 5 KM road project has been approved under NABARD RIDF XXVIII, with an estimated cost of Rs 7.41 crore. The road will benefit the villages of Kakora, Naili, Gurdhan Bala, Kanyal, Dupri, Kote, and Kalsan. Chief planning Officer, Mohd Khurshid; EXN PWD, Sardar Khan and other officials of PWD and Local PRI were also present.

The DDC expressed satisfaction that the project had finally come to fruition. He emphasized that the construction of this road would have a significant impact on the economic development of the area, as it will provide better connectivity to remote villages, making it easier for people to travel to markets and other urban areas.

The project was approved under the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) XXVIII, which aims to improve rural infrastructure and promote sustainable rural development. The DDC thanked NABARD for supporting the district’s efforts to improve rural infrastructure.

The DDC directed the concerned officials to ensure that the construction work is carried out with utmost quality and within the stipulated time frame. He urged the contractors to complete the project within the given deadline so that the public can avail of the benefits of this vital infrastructure project as soon as possible.

“The construction of this road will improve the lives of people living in the remote villages of Rajouri by providing better connectivity and access to markets, education, healthcare, and other essential services,” said DDC.

He also reiterated that the district administration is committed to the timely completion of this project, and all necessary measures will be taken to ensure that the work is completed on time.

 The Vice chairman DDC Rajouri expressed his gratitude to the DDC and other officials for initiating the project, which had been a long-standing demand of the people of the area.

He also emphasized the importance of developing rural infrastructure for the overall development of the region and highlighted the need for more such projects. He urged the officials to adhere to the quality parameters and complete the project within the stipulated time frame so that people can reap  benefits at the earliest.
