Quality Control wing of Handicrafts Deptt conducts inspection drive of Handicraft dealers

Realises Rs. 5k as fine from erring

SRINAGAR, November 13: During inspection, the dealers found violating the norms of Jammu and Kashmir Handicrafts Quality Control Act were penalised. An amount of Rs. 5000 was realised as fine, and a subsequent machine made inventory being sold in the name of Kashmir Art products were confiscated/ seized.

The dealers were warned of blacklisting in case of continued violation. They were directed to label the items within fifteen days, afterwards stern action will be initiated by the department.
