Qazigund Anantnag inspires change with ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’ for a Progressive India

ANANTNAG, January 19: The District Administration Anantnag, in collaboration with the Department of Education at Government Degree College (GDC) Qazigund, today organised a series of impactful events to commemorate VBSY.

The engaging activities aimed at fostering a sense of responsibility and commitment among the youth towards contributing to a developed India.

A substantial number of students from the 1st, 3rd, and 6th semesters actively participated in the program.

Principal Prof. G.R Verma addressed the gathering, shedding light on the theme of the current year and emphasizing the pivotal role of the youth in the nation’s development.

Earlier, the event commenced with a warm welcome from Showkat Ahmad Malik, Head of the Department of Education. Malik provided an insightful overview of the theme, urging the youth to play an active role in India’s development across various domains.

Students Syed Madhia Andrabi, Syed Fizaya Andrabi, and Irfan Server Beigh from the 6th semester shared their perspectives on the theme, emphasizing the significant contribution of the youth to the vision of a developed India.

The day’s activities encompassed a lively painting competition and an energetic campus cleanliness drive, showcasing students’ enthusiasm and passion in their active participation.

Furthermore, the Principal, staff, and students congregated in the college meeting hall to witness the live webcast of the Honorable Prime Minister’s address to the nation on the occasion of VBSY.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks expressing gratitude to all individuals who played a role in the success of the event.

Overall, the day was characterized by meaningful discussions, creative expressions through art, and a collective effort towards cleanliness, all contributing to the celebration of the spirit of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
