Principal Secretary Dr Kotwal reviews design & DPRs of infrastructural projects of Forest & Wildlife Dept

Leh, January 18: Principal Secretary, Forest, Ecology & Environment, Ladakh, Dr Pawan Kotwal convened a meeting in his office chamber at Secretariat, Leh to review the Design and DPRs of various infrastructural projects of the Forest and Wildlife Department, Ladakh.

At the outset of the meeting, the concerned officials gave a detailed presentation on the blueprint for the construction of the office of Chief Conservator of Forest at Badami Bagh, Skara; demolition and construction of new Divisional Forest at Leh; expansion/upgradation of Forest Rest House at Tangste and construction of additional block at Forest Rest House Hunder, amongst others. Further, the officials deliberated on the provision of substation, DG set, UPS, Central Heating Plant, LAN, EPABX & automatic addressable Emergency Lighting System, video conferencing system, solar water heating system, etc.

While reviewing the DPR for the construction of the office of Chief Conservator of Forest at Badami Bagh, Skara, and others, Dr Kotwal stated that the construction should be according to the mandates stipulated by the Forest and Wildlife Department and at the same time should meet the requirements of a place like Ladakh which have different needs owing to its harsh climatic conditions.

The meeting was attended by Sajad Mufti, Chief Conservator of Forests, UT Ladakh; Dhawan Rawat, Divisional Forests Officer, Leh Forests Division; Mohd Ali, Divisional Forests Officer, Kargil Forests Division; Pankaj Raina, Wildlife Warden, Leh; Raza Ali Abidi, Wildlife Warden, Kargil; Executive Engineer, CPWD and other concerned officials.
