Police apprehend bootlegger with illicit liquor in Doda

Doda Police have arrested a man for allegedly selling illicit liquor near the Doda Bus Stand. The accused, identified as Ram Singh, son of Bhola Ram, is a resident of Bhagwa.

Acting on a tip-off from a reliable source, police officials conducted a search operation and apprehended Singh. During a personal search, they recovered a significant quantity of illicit liquor from his possession, including 10 quarter bottles (250 ml) and 7 bottles (375 ml) of “JK Special Whisky”.

A case (FIR No. 78/2024) has been registered against Singh under relevant sections of the Excise Act at Doda Police Station. The investigation is currently underway.
