PM Modi inaugurated incomplete projects eyeing elections – JKPCC Chief

Dr Manmohan Singh had refused inauguration of completed Udhampur- Katra railway line, without technical clearance

Batote/ Udhampur , March 4- JKPCC President  Shri Vikar Rasool Wani today   took a dig at the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for inaugurating incomplete projects, in the run up to the general elections, eyeing votes , while Dr Manmohan Singh ji had not inaugurated the Udhampur – Katra railway line despite complete, without final  technical clearance of the same.

Addressing the meetings of party leaders & functionaries at Udhampur & Batote today, representing 12 assembly segments of Udhampur &  Doda, Kishwar, Ramban districts Shri Vikar  Rasool Wani said that Prime Minister was in hurry in view of coming elections to inaugurate in incomplete projects like Railway line from Katra to Banihal & AIIMS  etc  which are still incomplete & even OPD not started yet.

The railway project from Udhampur – Katra, the base camp of Mata Vaishno dev, was completed   by Congress government headed by Dr Manmohan Singh ji but not inaugurated by him,despite fully completed, due to lack of final technical clearance. Just after a month after taking over as PM, Shri Modi inaugurated the said project as a result the train with passengers remained struck up on way for full day, due to Modiji publicity hunger.

He said the work on Banihaal to Baramulla stretch was also  completed and train started by Dr Manmohan Singh ji government while  the Work on the  Katra – Banihal link including the highest bridge was in progress and still incomplete except the  small portion of Sangaldan to Banihal  but inaugurated pre maturely for election’s to mislead the people outside J&K by media publicity. 

Similarly the AIIMS project is incomplete and even OPD could not be started fifteen days after inauguration which was promised by 1st March. The people of Jammu region had  held a two months long agitation for getting AIIMS project and not gift of BJP. 

JKPCC Chief said that this is for the first time that Prime Minister of the country is inaugurating incomplete projects for elections and misleading the people of the country on the issue of development in Jammu & Kashmir where as it was Congress led UPA government brought about massive development. Twenty years ago in 2004, Dr Manmohan Singh ji announced a package of 24000 crores which swelled to 36000 cr upto completion. 

He said that BJP is misleading the people on various fronts trying to take credit for large scale Congress projects and social welfare schemes by changing names and creating media hype about the the seats but they will face like India Shing situation and defeated this time due to failures to check price rise & large scale unemployment besides other issues. 

PCC President asked party leaders to gear up their activities and go for mass contact programs in their respective areas and apprise the positive agenda of Congress exposing the divisive and misleading agenda of BJP.
