PCC adopts resolution congratulating Rahul Gandhi for announcement of Caste Census
Caste Census result of Rahul Gandhi’s Struggle – JKPCC
Jammu, May 02, 2025:- The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee has congratulated the LOP in Lok Sabha Shri Rahul Gandhi and the Congress leadership for the success of the Congress struggle for the Caste Census in the country.
A unanimous resolution was adopted in a meeting at PCC HQ. Jammu today, to express gratitude to the Congress leadership especially LOP in Lok Sabha Shri Rahul Gandhi for the success of the struggle to pressurize Government to concede the demand of Congress Party for Caste Census in the Country. The resolution moved by JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Mr. Ravinder Sharma was seconded by Working President Shri Tara Chand (Ex-Dy. CM) & Shri Raman Bhalla (Former Minister) and adopted unanimously by the participants, by raising hands, amidst raising of slogans in favour of Congress Part, Congress President Shri Malikarjun Kharge and Shri Rahul Gandhi.
JKPCC Working President Shri Tara Chand who presided over the meeting alongwith Shri Raman Bhalla, which was attended by several senior leaders, said that the struggle of Rahul Gandhi has finally yielded results and the Government had to accept the demand raised by Congress Party for Caste Census . He said that the entire credit for this goes to Shri Rahul Gandhi and the Congress Party. He said that now the party demands that the Caste Census should be completed within time frame so that the complete benefits reach to the common man,at the earliest.
Working President Shri Raman Bhalla while expressing gratitude to Shri Rahu Gandhi said that the announcement of Caste Census is the result of the struggle of Shri Rahull Gandhi and entire Congress party behind him. He called for a time frame to complete the exercise, so that the benefits of Government scheme reach the targeted population. All participants fully endorsed the resolution and adopted by one voice.
The meeting also asked the party cadres in the border areas including DCC Presidents to remain in constant touch with the people and the administration in view of the prevailing situation, keeping a close watch on the activities on the border belt.
The meeting strongly condemned Pakistan for the unprovoked firing on the border and LOC and reiterated the decision of CWC and Congress President Malikarjun Kharge and Shri Rahul Gandhi that Congress party is fully behind the nation and the Government to give befitting response to terrorism and Pakistan for the Pehalgam carnage.
Earlier a two minutes silence was also observed to mourn the death of Veteran Congress leader and former union minister Smt. Girija Viyas and pray for peace to the departed soul.
