OSC Ganderbal raises awareness on Child Related Crimes

GANDERBAL, MARCH 30: One Stop Centre (OSC) Ganderbal, operating under the auspices of She Hope Society for Women Entrepreneurs (SHSFWE), Ganderbal, spearheaded a series of awareness camps across five Panchayats in Ganderbal district.

These initiatives were carried out under the directive of the District Development Commissioner, Shyambir.

The awareness camps, which drew the enthusiastic participation of Aanganwadi workers, helpers, and beneficiaries, served as crucial platforms to address and discuss pertinent issues related to child welfare and safety.

Approximately 200 individuals actively engaged in these sessions, showcasing a deep commitment to understanding and combating child-related crimes.

The facilitators from OSC Ganderbal raised awareness on various forms of child-related crimes, including child marriage, child labour, sexual abuse, trafficking, among others.

They elucidated how these crimes perpetuate cycles of poverty and deprivation of fundamental rights among children. Moreover, remedies and interventions to tackle these issues were shared among the participants, empowering them with actionable insights.

The events were lauded for their informative and engaging nature, fostering heightened awareness and sensitivity towards safeguarding the rights and well-being of children in the community.
