NSS Unit Organized ‘KALASH YATRA’ at Government Degree College for Women, Kathua

KATHUA, October 13: NSS Unit, Government Degree College for Women, Kathua, organized a special event known as the “Kalash Yatra” under the banner of the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign, an initiative launched by Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi. This remarkable event served as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by our brave martyrs and the importance of preserving our cultural heritage. The ‘Kalash Yatra’ event featured the gathering of soil and rice from different areas, which were placed in an urn, symbolizing the collective strength and unity of India. This symbolic gesture paid homage to our heroes and underscored the significance of preserving our rich cultural heritage and the diversity of our agricultural practices.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and local community members who came together to celebrate India’s cultural diversity and honor the sacrifices of our brave martyrs. It was a memorable occasion that highlighted the interconnectedness of the nation, much like the grains of rice from diverse regions, and emphasized the strength that comes from unity.
