Nowshera Forest Division organises plant distribution program at Radha Krishan Mandir Sunderbani  

RAJOURI, July 31:  A Plantation distribution programme under JK Green Drive was today organised here in the premises of Radha Krishan Mandir Sunderbani by Sunderbani Forest Range in collaboration with Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation of India.

President Gram Swaraj Yojna Sunderbani Joginder Gupta, Range Forest Officer Sunderbani Sudesh Kumar, SHO Sunderbani Rajesh Jasrotia and Teachers of Ekal Abhiyan participated in the plant distribution programme.

About 1000 saplings of different species of Fruits, Medicinal and Ornamental plants were distributed among the devotees and general public.

Speaking on the occasion, the Range Forest Officer Sunderbani emphasized that it is equally important to increase the green cover by planting tree outside forest along with plantation on forest land. He appealed general public to plant at least five plants during the monsoon season to combat the problem of global warming and to achieve the goal of sustainable development.

The Programme was conducted under the direct supervision of Vivek Verma, Conservator of Forests West Circle Rajouri and Satyendra Maurya, Divisional Forest Officer.
