Scores of youth join NC in Banihal

Banihal, May 9th ,: Envisioning crucial role for National Conference in steering J&K out from the present morass, National Conference leader and District President, Ramban Mr Sajjad Shaheen today said the people feel dejected and let down by the failure due to misgovernance of the present dispensation adding that the “People have understood the significance of a stable popular government, especially in a state like Jammu and Kashmir which is confronted with problems of varied nature”, Mr Shaheen said while welcoming dozens of youth workers previously associated with various political parties into National Conference fold at his residence today.

He said that the communal forces were destined to get decimated in the ongoing Lok sabha elections and later in the forthcoming assembly elections when ever they are held in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir saying that “there was no alternative to National Conference as the party has strived for ensuring peace and undertaking development during most testing times.

He described National Conference as a deep rooted public movement, which, he said, believes in single entity of the State and has been striving for assuaging the politico-developmental aspirations of all segments of people. He referred to the historic role of National Conference in generating political awakening and making the people masters of their own destiny. He also referred to the historic role played by National Conference in strengthening democracy and forging the bonds of amity between various sections of the people. 

Mr Shaheen congratulated the new entrants and hoped this will further strengthen National Conference at grass roots levels.

Party block president Khari Mohammad Ashraf Naik, Vice president Mohd Anwar Naik, block secretary Farooq Ahmed Goth , besides Gulam Hassan Naik, youth president Shabir Ahmed Naik, youth Proviencial president Tariq Ahmed Dar, office secretary Abdul Gani Wani were also present in the function.
