Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan IEC events held across Ramban
RAMBAN, JUNE 23: The District Administration Ramban on Monday organized a series of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign events across all 11 blocks of the district to promote Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan.
The campaigns aimed to educate and sensitize the public, especially the young generation, about the ill effects of drug abuse and to foster a collective commitment to building a drug-free society.
Mass awareness programmes were held across numerous panchayats including Sangaldan B, Trigam Lower B, Sarbagni A, Ghari, Kalimasta, Dharam A, Takia Tethar, Rakhjarogh, Bagna, Senabathi A, and Gandhri. The events witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers and local communities, as well as officials from the Health, Police, Social Welfare and Information Departments.
At Gool, the event stood out with the active engagement of civil society members, government officials and youth, presenting a united front against the menace of substance abuse.
Resource persons and subject experts delivered insightful lectures on the physical, mental and social consequences of drug addiction. They also highlighted the available helplines, rehabilitation services and the government support mechanism available to help individuals battling substance abuse.
The awareness drives concluded with mass pledge ceremonies, where participants vowed to protect the youth and society at large from the menace of drugs. The events reaffirmed the community’s dedication to fostering a healthier, safer and drug-free Ramban.
