MVD Rajouri seizes 6 vehicles, e challans 16 others for breaching rules
RAJOURI, JUNE 18: Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Rajouri today conducted an extensive road checking drive in Kalakote town of the district.

The drive was carried out on the directions of Transport Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan and Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma. As many as 90 vehicles were checked, of which 16 were e-challaned for violation of rules. The expected penalty amount from these e-challaned vehicles stands at approximately ₹36,000 (Thirty-six thousand rupees).
In addition, six Tata Magic vehicles were seized for operating without valid permits, highlighting the administration’s zero tolerance towards permitless commercial operations.
The ARTO Rajouri reiterated that such enforcement drives will continue in the coming days to curb traffic violations and promote road discipline across the district. He urged vehicle owners and drivers to adhere to the road safety norms and legal requirements to avoid penalties and ensure the safety of all road users.
