MVD Kishtwar Organizes Medical Camps at Chatroo, Mughal Maidan, conducts Enforcement drive on NH axis

KISHTWAR, FEBRUARY 06: As part of the ongoing Road Safety Month campaign, the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Kishtwar spearheaded by ARTO Mohd Saleem and under the directive of the Chairman Road Safety Committee Kishtwar, Dr Devansh Yadav, on Tuesday organized comprehensive medical camps at Chatroo and Mughal Maidan.

Approximately 100 drivers underwent eye checkups and general physical/sugar checkups, uncovering crucial health insights at duo places.

The medical examinations revealed that three drivers are grappling with eyesight problems, two with sugar-related issues, and three with hypertension. Immediate recommendations for corrective measures were provided to ensure the well-being of these drivers and enhance road safety.

Following the medical camps, the MVD team conducted a rigorous enforcement drive along the Chatroo route. Sixty vehicles were subjected to thorough inspections, resulting in the issuance of challans to ten vehicles for violation of the Motor Vehicle Act. This dual initiative reflects the Motor Vehicle Department’s commitment to foster a safer road environment by addressing both health concerns and enforcing traffic regulations.

The Road Safety Month 2024 celebrations underscore the collaborative efforts of the Motor Vehicle Department and the Road Safety Committee in promoting awareness and taking tangible steps toward creating a secure and responsible road culture.
