MVD Doda, Health Department organise Blood Donation Camp

DODA, FEBRUARY 07: Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Doda, in collaboration with the Health department organized a blood donation camp at Government Medical College here today.

The camp was organized on the direction of Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh and supervised by ARTO Doda, Rajesh Gupta. The initiative was part of the ongoing celebration of National Road Safety Month.

The event was graced by the presence of chief guest, Retd Wg Cdr Tirath Singh Mahotra

During the event, members of the driver union and MVD officials came forward to donate blood, highlighting their commitment to the humanitarian cause. The primary aim of the blood donation camp was to ensure that sufficient blood was readily available for accident victims, allowing for immediate lifesaving interventions during emergencies.

The ARTO emphasised the importance of road safety measures and the MVD’s efforts to raise awareness throughout the district. He stressed the need for adherence to safety regulations while driving, underscoring the critical role each individual plays in preventing accidents and ensuring road safety.

The ARTO extended gratitude to the chief guest for gracing the occasion with his presence. He also thanked the Health Department for organizing the blood donation camp, ensuring a ready supply of blood at the Doda blood bank for prompt response to accidents. The event served as a testament to the community’s dedication to both road safety and humanitarian efforts.
