MVD Doda conducts enforcement drive on NH244

DODA, JUNE 13: On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner   Harvinder Singh, the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Doda today carried out an enforcement drive on the Doda-Kishtwar National Highway (NH-244). The drive was conducted under the close supervision of ARTO   Manjeet Sharma.

The enforcement team checked more than 60 vehicles for compliance with traffic and transport regulations. Of these, 8 vehicles were booked for violation of various provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act and issued e-challans with expected recovery of Rs 37500 as fine.   

 One vehicle was also seized on the spot for serious violations, while a case was recommended for the suspension of one driving license for repeated and severe violations.
