Mohan Lal Bhagat holds public darbar at BJP headquarters
Jammu, 16 June 2025: Mohan Lal Bhagat, MLA from Akhnoor, held a Public Darbar at the Jammu & Kashmir BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, where over 20 deputations from different areas presented their concerns and grievances.
Deputations from Pargwal Akhnoor, Sungal Thathi Akhnoor, Wazir Lane Talab Tillo, Muthi, Nagrota, Domana, Mishriwala, Ustad Mohalla, Rajouri, Jawala Raipur, Reasi, Gandhi Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Channi, Marble Market and other areas visited BJP headquarters to share their issues.
Concerns raised included land disputes, road improvement and widening from Pakiwala to Pangari, GREF-related works, construction of a playground at Bela, repair and installation of street lights, electric pole replacements, irregular water supply in Jagti, repair of Domana Link Road, lanes and drains restoration, installation of new handpumps (Mark 2), replacement of draining gratings, repair of tree guards at Park No. 64, transformer replacement, retention of SPOs, and issues of illegal mining, among others.
Responding with urgency and commitment, MLA Mohan Lal Bhagat personally interacted with officials of the concerned departments during the Darbar and urged them to take prompt action to resolve the issues, especially those concerning public utilities, basic infrastructure, and social welfare.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohan Lal Bhagat termed the Public Darbar as a platform to bring governance to the people’s doorstep. He said that the BJP believes in direct dialogue with citizens and resolving their issues without delay. Development is meaningful only when it is inclusive, responsive, and people-centric. Every grievance raised here is being followed up with the concerned department, he said and assured that all the genuine concerns will be addressed in a time-bound manner.
Er. Dil Bahadur Singh Jamwal, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Incharge, while conducting the proceedings of the Public Darbar stressed on a systematic and constructive interaction between the public and administration.
