Mission YUVA: DLIC Jammu approves 16 Venture proposals

JAMMU, JUNE 17: District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) meeting for Mission YUVA was conducted today to accelerate youth entrepreneurship initiatives in the district, with a focus on empowering young aspirants to become successful entrepreneurs and contribute to the economic development of Jammu and Kashmir.

Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya chaired the meeting where 16 applications (Venture proposals) under Mission YUVA were thoroughly scrutinised, evaluated and subsequently approved. The meeting was part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen the implementation of the entrepreneurship development scheme in the region.

The meeting witnessed the participation of senior district officers including Additional District Development Commissioner Sher Singh, Deputy Director Employment Sunaina Saini and LDM Romesh Chander along with other committee members.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya emphasised the importance of Mission YUVA in fostering entrepreneurial spirit among the youth and creating opportunities for sustainable employment generation. He highlighted that the programme aims to support young entrepreneurs through various interventions including skill development, financial assistance and handholding support.

Mission YUVA, launched as part of the government’s commitment to promote youth entrepreneurship, focusses on equipping young people with the skills and entrepreneurial spirit needed to generate sustainable livelihood opportunities and contribute to the overall economic growth of the Union Territory.
