Mission Youth: 170 Youth appear in interview for self-employment schemes at Bandipora

BANDIPORA, January 11: In an endeavour to empower youth, 170 unemployed youth today appeared in an interview process meant for selection of youth on the basis of merit under Mission Youth.

The interview was organised with the aim to select different eligible beneficiaries to avail benefits under Mission Youth to establish their units in manufacturing sector, service sector and other employment avenues.

Project Manager, District Industries Centre (DIC) Bandipora, Mehraj Wani said that under the scheme the eligible beneficiaries take loan from 2 lac to 20 lac with the facility of availing interest subsidy.

He said District Administration is working in mission mode to prioritise self-employment and self-empowerment of youth.

He said all the line departments dealing with individual schemes including DIC, KVIB, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and other departments have jointly carried out skill mapping of youth during Back To Village programme and 15 candidates  from every panchayat have been Counselled for different entrepreneurship programmes.

The Project Manager urged youth to come forward and take benefits from youth oriented Government schemes to speed up their socio-economic development under Mission Youth.

He said District Administration is providing hand holding to youth from block level to district level and is committed to support youth on different platforms.

He further said implementation of Mission Youth has proved successful in fulfilling the dreams of unemployed educated youth.
