Member NCM Rinchen Lhamo reviews Prime Minister’s New 15 Point Program implementation in Leh district

LEH, May 06: Member, National Commission for Minorities, Govt of India Rinchen Lhamo chaired a meeting to review the implementation of the Prime Minister’s New 15Point Program and discuss issues concerning the minorities in Leh district today at DC Video Conference Room.

NCM Member Rinchen Lhamo was apprised in detail about the implementation of the PM New 15 Point Program by each department and executing agencies focusing on schemes, including Scholarships, National Rural Livelihood Mission, National Urban Livelihood Mission, Jal Jeevan Mission, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Health Account, Poshan Abhiyan and Priority Sector Lending under Mudra Yojana.

NCM Member Rinchen Lhamo expressed satisfaction over the execution of the schemes and its achievement report in the district. However, she stressed on collaborative and concerted efforts from all the implementing departments and agencies to ensure that all the centrally sponsored schemes intended for the welfare of the minorities are fully implemented in the district.

NCM Member also urged the concerned departmental officers to share the detailed status/achievement report with her. She assured that the Ministry will work to redress the issues and concerns raised by the officers/officials during the meeting. She shared that with the formulation of designated Project Implementing Agencies in the region, the execution and implementation of various schemes for minority welfare will receive a renewed impetus.   

Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Shrikant Suse; Chief Planning Officer, Leh, Tsewang Gyaltson; Chief Education Officer, Leh, SD Namgail; Chief Medical Officer, Leh, Dr Nurzin Angmo; District Panchayat Officer, Leh; Lead District Manager, SBI, Leh and other concerned officers/officials from PHE Department, Social Welfare Department, ICDS Leh, and National Urban Livelihood Mission attended the meeting.
