Mega Yoga Event organized at Baba Chamliyal Shrine as prelude to Int’l Yoga Day
SAMBA, JUNE 20: In the run-up to the 11th International Day of Yoga, a Mega Yoga event was organized at the revered Baba Chamliyal Shrine by the District Administration Samba, in collaboration with the Department of Ayush and District Youth Services and Sports Department.
The event was graced by the presence of Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma, who appreciated the efforts of all departments involved and encouraged the public to adopt yoga for a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Rozy, Medical Officer AHWC Gho Brahmana. An energetic Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) session followed, in which over 210 individuals took part with full dedication and enthusiasm.
Medical Officer Ayush Dr. Divya Sharma delivered the vote of thanks. District Youth and Sports Services Officer Yudvir Singh also addressed the gathering and shared his valuable insights.
The event concluded with an awareness session by Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Medical Officer, AHWC Nud, who spoke on the history, relevance and benefits of yoga in daily life.
The event was a grand success and concluded on a positive and spiritually enriching note.
The event was held under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma and the supervision of Director Ayush J&K, Dr. Nuzhat Bashir Shah, along with the District Nodal Officer Ayush Dr. Renu Dass.
