Mega Scholarship & Career Counselling event held at GDC Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, MAY 24: The Career Counselling and Guidance Cell, in collaboration with the Department of Sociology, organized a highly impactful Mega Scholarship and Career Counselling Event at Government Degree College (GDC), Kishtwar for 12th pass-out and graduate students. The event was held in association with the BGGI Group and under the patronage and able guidance of the college Principal Prof. Basharat Iqbal. The session was convened and coordinated by Prof. Asma Javaid, who also delivered the welcome address.

The event covered a range of crucial topics concerning students, including Admission guidance for study abroad programs and scholarship schemes, financial assistance for meritorious students, career opportunities after graduation, Postgraduate admissions across various universities, Prospects in management courses.

 Adnan Shabir, CEO of BGGI Group and Basharat Bin Shamas served as the key resource persons, providing expert insights into academic and career planning.

Principal GDC Kishtwar and Chief Guest of the event, Prof. Basharat Iqbal, addressed the students and commended the organizing team for their dedication to supporting students in their career development.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 250 students representing local schools and the host college. Faculty members including Prof. Waseem Rasheed, Dr. Usman, Prof. Ashfaq Ahmed Wani, Prof. Sanjay Rakwal, Dr. Shazia Tabassum, Prof. Sanjay, Dr. Hasan Jaleel, Dr. Arshad, and Prof. Burhan Saqid were also in attendance and actively contributed to the program.

The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Sonika Sen, Head of the Department of Sociology. A token of appreciation was also presented to the Chief Guest.

This successful initiative provided a valuable platform for students to explore academic opportunities and career pathways with the support of seasoned professionals.
