Mayor of Srinagar extends greetings to people on the eve of Shab-e-Barat & Holi

SRINAGAR, March 07: The Mayor of Srinagar, Junaid Azim Mattu today extended a heartfelt greeting to the people on the sacred eve of Shab-e-Barat. In a message for masses, the Mayor said on this Shab-e-Barat eve, which is also known as the ‘Night of Fortune and Forgiveness’, May Allah grant forgiveness to all the Ummah and bestow us all with peace and prosperity.

He wished that on this Shab-e-Barat occasion may mercy, blessing, benefit, pardon and forgiveness descend upon the people of earth. Requesting the people to remember the poor and needy on this occasion, Junaid wished a blissful Shab-e-Barat to all. Junaid Azim Mattu has also extended warm greetings to the people on the eve of Holi.

“The concept of Holi is the victory of good over evil, the day presents ample opportunities for joy and gaiety among people from all walks of life, and unites the Communities in both rural and urban spheres”, he said while greeting the people.
Describing Holi as the festival of colours, Junaid wished a peaceful, joyful and prosperous life to everyone on the occasion.
