Maha Jan Samparak Abhiyan’ a mockery of BJP Govt, people must question celebration of failures: Rattan Lal

JAMMU, 2 JUN : Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), Jammu has impressed upon the people to question the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and workers when they come to their door steps under the much hyped ‘Maha Jan Samparak Abhiyan’ as to what is there to celebrate the nine years of BJP’s governance that has brought to the people nothing but a hell of miseries. He asserted that celebration of failures calling these achievements by the BJP Govt is indeed unprecedented mockery of the saffron party.

In a statement issued to media here today, the senior National Conference leader said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been the worst victims of the BJP’s misrule that has resulted out of its anti-people policies thrust upon the people of this Union Territory.

Rattan Lal Gupta said that the Union Territory Administration which is running the proxy government of Jammu and Kashmir has utterly failed to resolve the power scenario here during its nine years of governance at the Centre. The power situation has gone from bad to worse during these years. He said the main reason for this is the use of sub-standard material including the below standard electric transformers and electric wires which proves the level of corruption existing during 09 years of BJP rule.

He advised people to must ask BJP that why the Modi Govt has failed to resolve the poor power scenario in Jammu region.

The senior NC leader said that even the drinking water and irrigation scenario is no good too. The water crisis has further aggravated during the nine years of BJP rule which is evident from the fact that apart from Kandi belts of Samba, Jammu and Kathua district even the capital city i.e. Jammu continues to face dry situation with people craving for regular drinking water supply. He said that the farmers are also suffering on account of erratic power and water supply with their crops at stake.

He suggested people to raise a question before the BJP leader that why not scarcity of drinking water was addressed in nine years of rule of Modi Govt at the Centre.

Rattan Lal Gupta also castigated the Govt for the poor scenario in health sector saying that no doctors are available in most of the Primary Health Centres (PHCs) across the Jammu Province so much so that even the paramedics are not available in some of the PHCs.

He requested people to ask why the LG Govt has not engaged adequate number of doctors and paramedics in the health centre across the Jammu region.

He also questioned the J&K Administration on its claims of industrialization, asking it to spell out the number of medium, small and large scale industries were established in Jammu Province and how much employment has been provided to industrial workers as per the commitment made by Shri Amit Shah Honble Home Minister of India on the floor of Parliament on August 5, 2019. He said that the reality is that BJP’s anti-industrial policy and burden of GST has led to the closure of multiple industrial units and substantial number of industries on the verge of closure today. Not only this, even thousands of youth have lost their jobs due to the aforesaid closure.

He suggested people to ask BJP about the reason of closure of multiple industrial units in Jammu region due to which the graph of unemployment growing day by day.

The NC Provincial President also came down heavily on Administration for mismanagement of Public Sector in Jammu and Kashmir that led to the closure of profit making service sector especially the JK Cement Ltd, SICOP, Joinery Mill, etc rendering thousands of workers jobless and not even discharging the liability of their pending dues.

He advised people of Jammu region to must raise a question before the BJP leadership that why the recruitment agencies are playing with future of J&K youth. Why there isn’t a transparent mechanism adopted while conducting exams and what about the scams taking place under the very nose of LG Administration, he added.

Rattan Lal Gupta also raised the issues regarding commitment made to border youth about their recruitment in Border Battalions and the daily wagers compelled to come on roads demanding their regularization after having served the government departments during the prime of their life.

He advised people to ask BJP why the daily wagers are on roads why not the J&K BJP leadership have address the issue of these daily wager in the last nine years of BJP Governance at the Centre.

The Provincial President said that the failure on issues enumerated above constitutes only a tip of the iceberg and reveals that celebrating nine years of governance under ‘Maha Jan Samparak Abhiyaan’ is only a mockery of the BJP and its Government at the Centre.
