Lok Sabha Polls 2024: Congress held public meeting in Jammu’s Old Rehari

Jammu, April 20 :  Continuing campaign for the congress candidate Raman Bhalla, JKPCC General Secretary (Org)  Narinder Gupta  along with Michael Wazir PCC Secretary, Parshotam Mehra Senior OBC leader and Ricky Dalotra HQ incharge PYC held public meeting at Old Rehari Jammu. The meeting was organized by Camres David Babloo, Senior Congress leader and was attended by large number of local residents of Old Reahari and adjoining areas.

While addressing the gathering Narinder Gupta said that people of Jammu and Kashmir are fed up with the wrong policies of BJP led Govt. and is going to teach lesson to the BJP. He also  said that Congress will sweep both the Lok Sabha seats in the  upcoming parliament elections in Jammu and Kashmir. Gupta enumerated the several  benefits schemes launched by the Congress party during UPA-I and UPA II, like Right to work  ( MGNREGA), Right to food, Right to education, Right to information  etc. but  BJP  after coming to power in 2014, has snatched people’s rights  and brought all type of miseries to the common man  by imposing heavy taxes, price rise and unemployment . In this election  Congress  has come out with its   Nyay Pattar for  youth, women, farmers and  workers , he added.

Camres David Babloo while addressing said that  people of J&K are worst sufferers of the Modi led  government’s policies as our rights snatched and lands, jobs not secure while our status downgraded. We the  people of J&K are facing worst kind of situation  since 2014 & youths frustrated. He said that farmers, youth, traders, daily wagers, Anganwari,  Asha workers all are passing through difficult phase, it is the right time to vote against BJP and bring back congress  to rule the country in order to establish peace and prosperity in the country and especially in Jammu and Kashmir.

Thomas Khokhar- General Secretary PCC asked the party workers to remain active and present at the grass root level 24×7 and  intensify the effort to strengthen the congress party and ensure the victory of Jammu Reasi seat. Michael Wazir PCC Secretary said the present Govt. has failed to address the public issues and as a result the miseries of the people multiplied. He said that people are being fleeced in the name of taxes and jobs& trade  being snatched from local.
