District Election Office, Leh organises one-day training for upcoming Lok Sabha elections

Leh, March 5, 2024: District Election Office, Leh organised a one-day training to the District Level Master Trainers (DLMTs) of Leh District on EVMs/ VVPATs, polling party and poll day management for the upcoming general election to Lok Sabha, 2024 today on March 5 at DC Conference Hall.

State Level Master Trainer (SLMT), Dr. Stanzin Rabgais informed that the training is aimed to train the DLMTs about their roles who will further train the other polling officials and to conduct free and fair election successfully.   

He gave a detailed presentation on Roles and Responsibilities of Presiding Officers, 1^st Polling Officer, 2^nd Polling Officer and 3^rd Polling Officer on the Polling Station, Poll Day activities, mock poll, sealing of control unit and VVPAT.

Besides, register of voters, voting procedure, verification of voters, special situations during elections, poll closure and transportation were also discussed.  

In this training, a total of 16 DLMTs from tehsils including Diskit, Sumoor, Nyoma, Durbuk, Kharu, Leh, Saspol, Khaltsi and officials from election office were present during the training.
