Kishtwar administration fully prepared for “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign: DC

KISHTWAR, AUGUST 07: Deputy Commissioner, Dr Devansh Yadav, today said that the  District Administration Kishtwar has made elaborate arrangements for “Meri Maati, Mera Desh” campaign.

Addressing media persons at press conference held herein VC Hall of DC Office Complex, he gave a detailed overview of all aspects of the campaign scheduled from August 9 to August 15, 2023.

Deputy Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav highlighted the significance of the campaign and said it is an integral part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav concluding ceremony.

The campaign’s core focus centers around the symbol of “Soil,” representing the essence and unity of our nation. It aims to evoke feelings of respect for the country’s soil and the symbols of independence, he added.

As part of the campaign, the District administration would collect soil from every Panchayat and bring it to Delhi as a tribute to our valiant heroes. Additionally, the initiative seeks to promote environmental conservation by planting 75 indigenous saplings at each Panchayat, health centers and police stations in the District. Moreover, memorial plaques will be installed at Panchayat Ghars in honor of the national heroes, he explained.

The DC expressed satisfaction over the preparations made for the successful execution of various components of the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign, such as Deep Dive-Silaphalakam, Vasudha Vandhan (planting 75 saplings), Veeron Ka Vandan, Hoisting of National Flag, Singing of Rashtra Gaan (National Anthem), and Panch Pran Pledge.

Dr. Devansh Yadav appealed to the local community and PRI members and Media persons to actively participate in the events scheduled under the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign to foster a sense of pride and responsibility towards our Nation.
