JNV School Leh hosts annual function and alumni meet

Leh, Nov 30, 2023: Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) School, Leh celebrated its annual function and alumni meet on November 29.

The occasion was graced by the presence of the Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve, who served as the chief guest for the event.

The festivities commenced with a grand inaugural ceremony, marked by traditional Ladakhi performances that showcased the rich cultural heritage of the region.

The alumni meet saw former students returning to their alma mater, sharing anecdotes and reliving cherished memories. The alumni, now scattered across various professions and locations, rejoined their schoolmates to celebrate the enduring bond they share with JNV School.

Throughout the day, interactive sessions provided a platform for current students to engage with accomplished alumni.

Deputy Commissioner Santosh Sukhadeve, in his address, shared valuable insights and encouraged the students to strive for excellence in their chosen fields. He added that District Administration has extended help to the JNV School and assured to provide support in future also.  Further, he added that support including glazing of verandas, climate friendly toilets and bathrooms, hot and cold-water facilities, engagements of wardens, CCTV installation, compound walling, multipurpose hall, blacktopping, plantation drive, engagement of more chowkidars and sanitary workers, resurfacing of internal road, upgradation of solar cookers, installation of street light, solar water heaters, washing machines, kerosene heaters have been provided to the school.

Expressing their gratitude, Principal and Parent Teachers Association (PTC) members lauded for his continued support to the school.

Outstanding achievements of both present students and alumni were recognized and applauded. Academic brilliance, sports accomplishments, and community contributions were acknowledged, reflecting the holistic development fostered by JNV School.

Teachers and staff members were felicitated for their tireless efforts in shaping the minds of the students.
