JMC gears up to welcome Shri Amarnath Ji Pilgrims
Commissioner reviews facilities, cleanliness measures
JAMMU, JUNE 4: To enhance facilities for the pilgrims arriving in Jammu for the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav conducted an extensive inspection of locations visited by pilgrims.
During the visit, Dr. Yadav assessed the preparations at the Jammu Railway Station, JDA Parking at Bahu Plaza, Nanak Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Banke Bihari Temple and other places. He took stock of arrangements of sanitation, public toilets and temporary accommodations at these locations.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Yadav said JMC is on the job to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation for the comfortable stay of the devotees coming from across the country. “We are putting in best efforts to provide robust civic amenities to pilgrims during their spiritual journey,” he added.
Joint Commissioner Health and Sanitation Abdul Sattar; Health Officer Dr. Vinod Sharma; Executive Engineer (Project) Lokesh Gupta and Chief Transport Officer Dharamveer Singh accompanied the Commissioner.
