JKAACL organises multi-lingual Mushaira  at GCW Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, December 31, 2022; To develop the literary interest among the students,  J&K Academy of Art Culture & Languages (JKAACL) Jammu in collaboration with The Literary Club, Department of Music and Heritage Club, Govt. College for Women (GCW) Udhampur  oragnised a multilingual Mushaira at Government College for Women Udhampur here today under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahaotsav. 

Secretary J&K Academy of Art Culture & Languages Jammu, Mr. Bharat Singh was the chief guest on the occasion. Renowned writer, poet, critic, scholar and Sahitiya Akademi Awardee, Sh. Parkash Premi presided the multilingual Mushaira event.

While speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Mr. Bharat Singh appreciated the efforts  of College administration for organizing such an interesting, informative and stimulating literary event. He congratulated the poets for being a part of this mega event and also for delivering meaningful and entertaining poetic verses. Mr. Bharat Singh said that Academy has decided to organize literary and cultural activities in the interiors of the entire Districts of  Jammu region. He also urged such types of literary and cultural events in the near future.   

Renowned and prominent poets of the Udhampur district mainly include Balraj Bakshi, Anand Saroop Anjum, Tara Nath, S.D. Kotwal, Kusum Antra, Jagdeep Dubey, Bachiter Singh Veragi, Rekha Thakur, Ram Krishan Dhar, Mohinder Kumar Pancharvi, Anu Atri Yaad, Anjana Kumari, Varun Veer, Ritu Singh, Nitika Nitu and Dr. Jyoti Sharma presented their poetic verses touching all the aspects of society. Besides budding poets including students of the college namely Naseem Akhter, Rimpy Sharma, Shilpa Sharama and Sadhana Sargam were also expressed their poetic talent.

Earlier, in her welcome address, Principal of the college, Dr. Monika Sharma lauded the efforts of organisers for organising such a wonderful multilingual Mushiara that will provide a platform to share and exchange diverse literary knowledge. Dr. Monika expressed her heartful gratitude to the JKAACL for providing the opportunity for students to develop their overall personalities and should organize more such activities in this college. 

The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Convener Literary Club, Dr.  Mool Raj besides formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Sushma Kumari. As many as 255 students witnessed the occasion.

Besides, the event was graced by the presence of Dr. Shah Nawaz, (Cultural Officer, JKAACL), Dr. Seema Sharma, Mr. Kewal Kumar, Ms. Ashni Devi, Dr. Kewal Kumar, Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Mr. Yash Paul, Ms. Shallu Jasrotia, Mr. Rajinder Singh, Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad, Ms Rekha Rani, Ms. Shama Rani, Ms Pooja Bharti, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Mr. Yash Kumar Bhupinder Jamwal (Choreographer JKAACL) and Mr. Arun Gupta.
