JKAACL organises classical cultural event ‘Kala Darpan 2025’ at Jammu

JAMMU, MAY 02: Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) organised ‘Kala Darpan 2025’, a classical cultural event, in collaboration with Bhavishya Academy and Institute of Classical Dance at Abhinav Theatre here today.

The event was themed and dedicated to Lord Shiva (SWAYAMBHU).

MLA Jammu East, Yudhvir Sethi was the Chief Guest on the occasion, while as Commissioner Secretary, Forest, Ecology and Environment, Sheetal Nanda was guest of honour.

Secretary, JKAACL, Harvinder Kour; senior officers of JKAACL, students and large number of music and dance enthusiasts were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Sheetal Nanda appreciated the performances given by the students and organisers. She hoped that such events should be organised regularly to promote our classical music and culture.

The event showcased various levels of Kathak by young and dynamic performers that blended the seamless singing of classical music to promote a classical music, with new take on the traditional Indian dance form.
