J&K police seize illicit liquor in Gandoh area of Doda

In a continuing effort to crack down on illegal activities, the J&K Police seized a significant amount of illicit liquor in the Darai area of Gandoh on Friday, April 27th, 2024.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday conducted a raid on a residence in Darai. The team, which also included PSI Avinash Khajuria and was supervised by SDPO Gandoh Sh Rajkumar, recovered approximately 5 liters of finished illicit liquor, around 40 liters of Lahan (fermenting mash), and equipment used in the manufacturing process.

An FIR (First Information Report) numbered 36/2024 has been registered at the Gandoh Police Station under relevant sections of the Excise Act. The investigation is currently underway.
