J&K police pay homage to fallen heroes on anniversary of their sacrifice

In a solemn tribute to the brave souls who made the ultimate sacrifice for their nation, the Jammu and Kashmir Police observed Remembrance Day, honoring the memory of seven gallant officers who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

Among the revered fallen heroes remembered on this day were Constable Mehfooz Ahmad, Selection Grade Constable Mohd Bashir, Constable Mukhtar Ahmed, Follower Abdul Hamid, Head Constable Gulab Singh, Special Police Officer Mohd Akram, and Special Police Officer Angraz Singh. Each of these valiant individuals hails from different regions of Jammu and Kashmir, underscoring the profound impact their sacrifices have had across the entire state.

Constable Mehfooz Ahmad, Selection Grade Constable Mohd Bashir, and Constable Mukhtar Ahmed, all natives of Poonch, demonstrated unwavering courage and commitment in the face of adversity, leaving an indelible mark on their community and the force they served.

Follower Abdul Hamid of Poonch, whose sacrifice dates back to 2004, epitomized the selfless spirit of service, while Head Constable Gulab Singh from Reasi, who laid down his life in 2011, displayed exceptional bravery in safeguarding the peace and security of the region.

Special Police Officer Mohd Akram of Kulgam and Special Police Officer Angraz Singh of Ramban, both martyred in 2003, exemplified the resilience and dedication inherent in the guardians of law and order.
