J&K on anvil of historic economic resurgence: Rana

JAMMU DECEMBER 23: Senior BJP leader Devender Singh Rana today expressed happiness over the growing realization among the intending entrepreneurs about massive industrialization in Jammu and Kashmir, saying this cannot be a distant dream anymore with the rollout of New Industrial Policy and strategies put in place for investment in the Union Territory.

“It really sounds soothing to know about the urge among startups to grow and make their contribution in the growth story of their place and the country”, Mr Rana said while interacting with the functionaries of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries at the Chamber House.

Devender Rana, who is also the BJP Prabhari Cooperative, Transport and Traders & Industries Cell of the BJP, visited the Chamber House on the invitation of the President Chamber of Commerce & Industry along with the Conveners and Co-Conveners of the Cells and had a healthy discourse over the schemes rolled out by the Centre and the UT administration for giving a fillip to industry and promoting the avenues for trade and commerce.

He said Jammu is the most thronged destination of pilgrims and tourists and has immense potential to grow in different vocations. Inclination and urge among enterprising people to diversify and intensify their commercial activities will go a long way in their economic emancipation and empowerment, he said, adding that such initiatives can also help in generating employment.
