J&K BJP announces key appointments for its legislators

Jammu, 31 May 2025: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir unit, has announced key responsibilities for members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs).

Sat Sharma, President, J&K BJP, in consultation with Sh. Jagat Prakash Nadda ji, BJP National President, Sh. BL Santhosh ji, BJP National General Secretary (organization), and Sh. Tarun Chugh ji, BJP National General Secretary & Prabhari J&K BJP made the nominations.

The following MLAs have been entrusted with specific roles to strengthen the party’s organizational structure and legislative functioning in the Assembly:

Surjit Singh Salathia, BJP Vice-President & MLA from Samba and Pawan Gupta, MLA from Udhampur West have been nominated as Deputy Leaders of the Opposition.

Rajiv Jasrotia, BJP Spokesperson & MLA from Jasrota has been nominated as Chief Whip of the party.

Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat, MLA from Suchetgarh and Yudhvir Sethi, BJP Vice-President & MLA from Jammu East have been nominated Whips of the party.

Choudhary Vikram Randhawa, MLA from Bahu has been nominated as Secretary.

Arvind Gupta, BJP Secretary & MLA from Jammu West has been nominated as Treasurer.

Balwant Mankotia, MLA from Chenani and Shakti Raj Parihar, BJP Vice-President & MLA from Doda West have been nominated as Spokespersons.

These appointments reflect the party’s commitment to empowering its legislative team and ensuring effective representation of public interests in the Assembly. The BJP continues to strive for responsive, accountable, and development-oriented governance in Jammu & Kashmir.
